Encinal Site CouncilWhat is the School Site Council?
The School Site Council is a representative group of parents and staff members charged with identifying and implementing curriculum and instructional practices that strengthen the academic program, and ensuring that all students have access to and success in that program.
Site Council Responsibilities
- Develop a school plan for using resources to increase learning
- Match the supplemental budget to the school plan (SLIP and others)
- Submitting the plan to the School Board for review and approval
- Communicate with the school and community regarding the plan
- Monitoring and updating the plan
Who Serves on the Site Council?
An equal group of parents and staff members representative of the larger community
Classroom teachers must be the majority of the staff members. Elections occur each spring. Please
email Allison Liner, Principal, if you are interested in learning more.
Although decision making is the responsibility of the Council, all Encinal community members are invited to attend Site Council meetings.
